EDD’s name is part of his EDDtraction. His image is repeatEDD in new roles, moments, or moods. These are original artworks with inventive titles, hand-painted in ink, pencil, charcoal, and acrylic on hand-built wood panels and canvas. Every piece is painted first and titled second, to keep the focus on art before the witticism. 

EDD is an all-around great guy—or gull—relatable, worldly, and sophisticated. He’s confident with just the right amount of attitude, serious but with a light heart. He believes in fuzzy logic and sees the world through rose-colored glasses. He lives by the motto: “To be interesting, you have to be interested.” He has friends in high places, and he is very well connectEDD. Collectors are drawn to EDD’s heart, humor, unmistakable style, and ability to spark conversation. Once you’ve met EDD, you’ll start seeing “EDD” everywhere—at the beach, in a movie, or in a show. You’ll think, I just had an EDD encounter, and hopefully you’ll smile.

EDD appeared to local artist Margot Waller Madgett on the beach in the city of Encinitas, also known as EDDcinitas, California. Margot is a Pacific Islander contemporary artist whose diverse body of work spans multiple styles, techniques, and mediums. Her art ranges from expressive and thought-provoking pieces, to playful creations infused with wit and humor, including her beloved CollectEDDart series. At the heart of Waller’s practice is creativity, human connection, and the joy of seeing the world from unexpected perspectives.
